چکیده
Rhododendron liliiflorum H. Lév., with white outer edges and yellow inner of petals, is an ornamental flower that originated in China. In this study, we analysed the (W) (Y) parts R. flowers by RNA sequencing. Then, unigene assembly, annotation, classification Eukaryotic Orthologous Groups (KOGs) were performed. Gene ontology (GO) pathway enrichment analysis for unigenes also conducted. A total 219,221 transcripts 180,677 obtained from 48.52 Gb clean reads. Differentially expressed gene (DEG) indicated 2310 upregulated 3062 downregulated W vs. Y. Thirty-six these DEGs involved flavonoid biosynthesis pathway. Pathway showed significantly enriched phenylpropanoid, flavonoid, isoflavone biosynthesis. The expression dihydroflavonol-4-reductase (DFR) chalcone synthase (CHS) may affect differences colour. findings on other related genes study will provide guidance exploring mechanism colour formation Rhododendron.

Transcriptome sequencing and metabolite analysis reveals the role of delphinidin metabolism in flower colour in grape hyacinth
Grape hyacinth (Muscari) is an important ornamental bulbous plant with an extraordinary blue colour. Muscari armeniacum, whose flowers can be naturally white, provides an opportunity to unravel the complex metabolic networks underlying certain biochemical traits, especially colour. A blue flower cDNA library of M. armeniacum and a white flower library of M. armeniacum f. album were used for tra...
متن کاملFlower colour adaptation in a mimetic orchid.
Although the tremendous variability in floral colour among angiosperms is often attributed to divergent selection by pollinators, it is usually difficult to preclude the possibility that floral colour shifts were driven by non-pollinator processes. Here, we examine the adaptive significance of flower colour in Disa ferruginea, a non-rewarding orchid that is thought to attract its butterfly poll...
متن کاملFlower Colour Modification of Chrysanthemum by Suppression of F3'H and Overexpression of the Exogenous Senecio cruentus F3'5'H Gene
Chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum × morifolium) is one of the most important ornamental plants in the world. They are typically used as cut flowers or potted plants. Chrysanthemum can exhibit red, purple, pink, yellow and white flowers, but lack bright red and blue flowers. In this study, we identified two chrysanthemum cultivars, C × morifolium 'LPi' and C × morifolium 'LPu', that only accumulate f...
متن کاملIn Vitro Flower Production in Some Species of Hyoscyamus (H. pusillus L., H. arachnoideus Pojark, and H. niger L.)
Various plant organ segments including segments from roots (root tip, and root collar), stems, leaves, and also seeds of several Hyoscyamus species (i.e. H. pusillus, H. arachnoideus, annual and biennial H. niger from two distinct geographical regions) were cultured on MS media with various growth regulator combinations, to assess the ability of flower production. Statistical assessments showed...
متن کاملFirst transcriptome analysis of Iranian scorpion, Mesobuthus eupeus venom gland
Scorpions are generally an important source of bioactive components, including toxins and other small peptides as attractive molecules for new drug development. Mesobuthus eupeus, from medically important and widely distributed Buthidae family, is the most abundant species in Iran. Researchers are interesting on the gland of this scorpion due to the complexity of its venom. Here, we have analyz...
